Yellowstone Club - Golf Clubhouse

Golf and views. Those were the drivers in 2014 when Big-D Signature was hired to construct a three-story, 27,449 square-foot, mixed-use clubhouse at the Yellowstone Club. Nestled into the heart of the Rocky Mountains, Yellowstone Club is a 15,200-acre private residential club, ski resort, and golf resort located in Big Sky, Montana.

Completed in collaboration with Yellowstone Club, Reid Smith Architects and Denton House Design Studio, the contemporary mountain architecture of the clubhouse is set against the stunning backdrop of the Eglise Mountain, the Gallatin Range, and the Spanish Peaksvistas and was built overlooking the 18th green of the 18-hole, Tom Weiskopf-designed championship-caliber golf course.

The main and lower levels of the Clubhouse feature a pro shop, a state-of-the-art golf simulator, locker rooms, commercial kitchen and cart barn for 100 carts and other golf course equipment. The restaurant and bar areas seamlessly blend into an indoor/outdoor dining experience with NanaWall sliding glass walls. Ample seating for guests boasts a multi-faceted bar flanked by stunning views of the golf course itself and surrounding mountain ranges. The upper level features six exquisite residential condominiums.

Finishes include stone, yellow cedar, plaster, acoustical panels, and wood decorative panels. Almost everything in the club was custom made, including leather handrails, hand-blown glass fixtures and rustic wooden stairs One of the challenges that crews faced during construction was weather. The area generally receives more than 300 inches of snow every winter.
